Analysis of each group: Who will go through?

Group A: Host Russia was guaranteed to be here, Russia and Saudi Arabia will commence the World Cup 2018 matches, and they are the two lowest ranked teams in the World Cup. It’s a feasible group from the host’s perspective, but Uruguay is the luckiest of all here.

Possible Winner and Runner-up: Uruguay and Russia.

Group B: Certainly, the clash of the group stage, Spain Vs. Portugal will take place here.Inevitably, the hype will be there, but the defending Euro Champions and World Cup winner in 2010 should be confident to go through. Tough luck for Morocco and Iran.

Possible Winner and Runner-up: Spain and Portugal

Group C: France with another European team, Denmark are favorites to go through, but Peru might challenge Denmark for the second place in the group.

Possible Winner and Runner-up: France and Denmark

Group D: Arguably the group of death for many. All of the four teams have the potentiality to standout and every point lost will be the advantage for the close competitors.Argentina barely sneaked to the World Cup, and now they got two challenging European sides and an African powerhouse. Nevertheless, Argentina led by Leo Messi are always favorite to go through, but it’s going to be cutthroat for the remainings.

Possible Winner and Runner-up: Argentina and Croatia

Group E: It’s a decent draw for Brazil, and they will be the favorite to win the group but Switzerland and Costa Rica both have a history as giant killer, and Serbia isn’t the walk in the park either.

Possible Winner and Runner-up: Brazil and Switzerland.

Group F: Frankly, it’s a nightmare group for Mexico and defending Champion, Germany won’t be the happiest one either. Sweden pipped out the World Cup’s favorite son, Italy to be here and now they have only one spot to target, i.e., second place in the group which means they will likely face Brazil in the knockout.

Possible Winner and Runner-up: Germany and Mexico.

Group G: England could not have expected a better draw than this being in pot 2. Both England and Belgium will probably meet each other in a group winner match but this is world cup, and Tunisia and Panama can pull out the rabbit in this everyone’s game.

Possible Winner and Runner-up: Belgium and England

Group H: Is this the most open Group? We can think so. Columbia will feel comfortable and a little bit lucky to be here but Poland coming from pot 1, Sadio mane inspired Senegal and Asia’s best, Japan, they all must be weighing the same chances here.

Possible Winner and Runner-up: Columbia and Japan.
