The reigning champions of Serie A, Juventus travel to Wembley on Wednesday to face Tottenham in the second leg of Champions League Round of 16. The kick-off is scheduled at 07:45 pm GMT on the 7th of March.
Juventus head to this second leg, probably disappointed on themselves; as Tottenham came from back to level the game after Gonzalo Higuain had given them an early 2-0 lead.
Higuain missed a chance to score the third for the Bianconeri, as he saw his penalty saved by Italian goalkeeping Legend Buffon late in the first period. The 2-2 draw in the first leg means Spurs host the second leg with a slight advantage.
The Bianconeri’s wait was finally over on Saturday, as league leaders Napoli lost three crucial points to Roma at home. Juventus had just got the edge against Lazio earlier that evening with a dramatic late winner from the Argentine Paulo Dybala.
Juventus are now trailing Napoli by a point and have an extra game in hand, thanks to the postponed game against Atalanta, a fortnight ago.
Tottenham will be confident going into this match, as they climbed up to the top four position in the league table following Chelsea’s defeat to Manchester United last week.
The London-based side finished first in Group H of Champions League over Real Madrid, outperforming the 12 times European Champions in both legs. They will be hoping to qualify for the quarter-final of Champions League for just the second time when these sides meet on Wednesday.
Players To Watch
The English striker needs no introduction when it comes to scoring goals. With 24 goals so far in the Premier League this season, the 24-year-old is the top scorer of the famous league competition.
Kane has also scored his fair share of goals in Europe netting seven goals in the competition; second to only Cristiano Ronaldo. He opened the scoring in the first leg and is expected to score at Wembley on Wednesday too.
The Young Argentine talent scored in the injury time against Lazio to put Juve in the driving seat of Serie A. The 24-year-old showed great composure in the clash against Lazio, and after recovering from injury, the youngster will be eager to perform. He, combined with fellow Argentine Higuain, can create a lot of problems to Spurs’ defense.
Before this Champions league clash, these teams had never met in a competitive fixture before. However, they met in a pre-season friendly last summer which ended with Spurs registering a 2-0 victory, thanks to goals from Kane and Christian Eriksen.
Mauricio Pochettino will be without full-back Toby Alderweireld, who is out with a hamstring injury. Jan Vertonghen returned from injury and played the full 90 minutes during the 2-0 win over Huddersfield last Saturday and is set to start at the back against Juventus.
The Argentine coach has a tough decision to make on whether to start Lamela or Son on the left, but considering their recent form, the 46-year-old will most likely go with the latter.
The Old Lady have few injury concerns ahead of the Wednesday clash. Higuain didn’t feature in the 1-0 win over Lazio with an ankle injury but is set to make a return in this crucial clash.
Bernadeschi, Cuadrado and De Sciglio are still unavailable for the North Londoners.

Tottenham vs Juventus Prediction
Spurs have made Wembley feel more like home lately and have won nine of their last fourteen home league games. This impressive home stats could be a significant factor going into this game for Pochettino’s men along with the two away goals.
For the Bianconeri, they will have to defend well or go full-attack and put on more than two away goals, if they are to hope of advancing to the quarter-finals.
All in all, this game has late twists and spectacular performances written all over it.
Our Prediction: Spurs are the favorites to win this match, and we’re rooting for a 2-1 win for the hosts.
