RB Leipzig will host Borussia Dortmund at the Red Bull Arena this weekend in the German Bundesliga.
In their last league match, RB Leipzig were beaten 2-1 at home by bottom side FC Cologne as the away side came from a goal down to snatch all three points. Jean Kevin Augustin scored early on for the hosts, but Cologne came back into the match thanks to a goal in the second half by Vincent Koziello. Leonardo Bittencourt added one more to ensure they left the Red Bull Arena with all three points.
BVB were held to a disappointing draw at home against FC Augsburg in their last outing in the Bundesliga. Marco Reus scored in the first half for the home side while Kevin Danso scored for Augsburg to level the proceedings and the points were shared in Dortmund.
The two teams are separated just by three points in the league table. Dortmund are 2nd in the table, a point ahead of 3rd place Schalke while the hosts are 6th in the table and are level on points with Bayer Leverkusen in 5th place. Dortmund have 41 points so far in the campaign while RB Leipzig have managed to accumulate 38 points at this stage of the season.
Head to Head
The two teams have faced off against each other just the three times before this match. RB Leipzig have been victorious twice in these meetings while Dortmund have won just once. There have been no draws when the two sides have met each other in the past.
The last meeting between these two bundesliga teams was earlier in the season at the Signal Iduna Park Stadium in Dortmund. Leipzig won the match 3-2 thanks to a goal each from Marcel Sabitzer, Yussuf Poulsen, and Jean Kevin Augustin despite Pierre Emerick Aubameyang scoring a brace for the home side.
Left-back Marcel Halstenberg has a Cruciate Ligament Rupture and will miss the match. Central midfielder Konrad Laimer has a minor wound to deal with and is still doubtful. Naby Keita will be suspended for this match as the central midfielder is unavailable due to an indirect card suspension.
Midfielder Sebastian Rode has been out of action since August last year due to an injury and is still unavailable.
Andriy Yarmolenko is also sidelined due to a foot injury, and the winger is not expected to be fit before April. Right-back Erik Durm has a torn ligament and will miss this match. Shinji Kagawa is still a doubt as he has been out with an ankle injury. Left-back Raphael Guerrero has been troubled by a muscle injury and is unlikely to feature in this match.

RB Leipzig vs Dortmund Prediction
The match is expected to be a tight affair as both the teams have little to separate them in the league table. The two sides will be looking to get back in form after Dortmund were held to a draw and RB Leipzig were beaten at home.
The match is bound to be entertaining as both teams are bound to attack the other side. So, this is a tough match to call between two Champions League qualification hopefuls this season.
So, we predict a 1-0 win for Borussia Dortmund.
