Out of form Chelsea host bottom side West Bromwich Albion, this Monday night, in the English Premier League. Under Antonio Conte, the Londoners have won all three Premier League meetings against the baggies without conceding a single goal. However, Conte’s job might be at stake when they face Alan Pardew’s men on Monday, as the blues have been in awful form, winning just one league games since the start of January.
Chelsea lost 4-1 against Watford, last Monday, in their last game in the league. Tiemoue Bakayoko was shown a red card in the first half following two yellow cards in the space of five minutes, which was just the start of an awful night, at Vicarage Road, for the blues. Troy Deeney scored a spot-kick three minutes before the end of the first half, to give Watford the lead. Eden Hazard equalized for the defending champions, in the 82nd minute, however, Watford scored three goals in the final 10 minutes of the game to put four past 10-men Chelsea.
This was the second consecutive league defeat for Antonio Conte’s side, who had lost 0-3 at home against Bournemouth. It was also their third defeat in the last four games in all competitions. Eden Hazard and company were knocked out of the EFL cup by rivals Arsenal, two weeks ago. Something does not seem right at Stamford Bridge, at the moment.
Chelsea have dropped out of the top four in the Premier League table following Spurs’ win in the North London derby on Saturday’s early kickoff. They are currently fifth in the table with 50 points from 26 matches played in the league so far. Spurs are now two points above Chelsea. However, the Blues can climb above them, more significantly, they can get back into the top four with a win on Monday.
Conte’s men have won 15, drawn five and lost six games in the league this campaign, which is a massive decline compared to last season when they lost just five games all season. The Londoners have scored 46 league goals so far, which is the least by any of the ‘big six’ clubs of English football.
Meanwhile, Alan Pardew and West Brom are facing their own problems. They are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table having managed just 20 points in the league so far, which is at least four points fewer than any other side in the division.
The Baggies have won just three games in the league this campaign, which is at least two fewer than any other club in the British top division. The West Midlands club have also drawn league games this season, the highest number of draws in the league.
Chelsea have already lost three home games this campaign, including the defeat to Bournemouth in their last home game. The Blues have not lost back to back Premier League home games since November 2011, when they lost to Arsenal and Liverpool in consecutive home games.
West Brom have won just two of their last 18 Premier League trips to London, drawing six and losing 10 games. Both the victories came against Crystal Palace. The Baggies have not beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in any of their last 16 visits in all competitions, drawing three and losing 13 games in the process. They last won at the Bridge in November 1983, which was a 0-1 win in the League Cup.
Alan Pardew has previously won at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League with two different clubs: Newcastle United and Crystal Palace. No manager has ever won at Stamford Bridge with three different clubs, Pardew has a chance to become the first one to do so, this Monday.
Alvaro Morata is out with a back injury. Andreas Christensen is carrying a hamstring injury and is doubtful to face West Brom. Defender Marcos Alonso is also a doubt for Monday due to his muscle injury.
Bakayoko is out with a suspension as he received a red in the last match. January signing Ross Barkley has a hamstring injury.
Hal Robson-Kanu is out with a hamstring injury. Nacer Chadli has featured just three times in the league this season. He is out with a hip injury. Kieran Gibbs is carrying a hamstring injury. However, he might play on Monday.
Johny Evans is doubtful to face Chelsea due to his back injury. Midfield duo of James Morrison and Jake Livermore are out injured and are expected to make their returns no sooner than March.

Chelsea vs West Brom Prediction
In the 23 meetings between these two sides in the Premier League, the Baggies have won just three times. The Albion have never won a Premier League game at Stamford Bridge. This might be their chance as Antonio Conte and his men seem out of sorts at the moment.
However, West Brom have had their own troubles in the recent times and are looking like one of the favorites to face the drop this season.
Our prediction for this game is a 0-0 draw.
